Lonely, I am so lonely

Goodbyes and farewells

sunny

Today was a very, very sad day so you’ll have to forgive us for the short entry as we really can’t write much through the veil of tears currently streaming down our faces. After a glorious week of seeing familiar faces we had to say goodbye to Rach’s parents today. We felt like the parents watching our children pack up their bags and leave. We managed to squeeze in a quick brunch down at a fancy cafe in Beaumaris before it was time to wave them off. In some ways it was harder saying goodbye to them this time as opposed to when we left the UK, since we were left with the empty house and they were jetting off to Dubai.

We’d only just recovered from our moping when we were hit with another devastating blow. Carro our Swedish housemate popped by to pick up the last of her stuff as she was heading back to Sweden. Once we’d said our goodbyes and waved her off, we wandered into her bedroom and looked sadly at the emptiness in there. We’d gotten so used to people being around that it was very strange to be back to just the two of us.

Some chocolate, films and a cheeky drink are in order tonight we thinks.
